Mini Pregnancy Retreats at Shiva
Our Mini Pregnancy Retreats are an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself and your baby and enjoy a few hours of dedicated prenatal care and relaxation. Designed to support you throughout pregnancy, our retreats combine restorative movement, birth preparation and mindful connection in a welcoming environment where you can simply take a breath and be cared for.
Whether you’re in your second or third trimester, preparing for your first birth or adding to your growing family, our pregnancy retreats offer a beautiful oppurtunity to pause, rest and prepare for birth and motherhood.
What your Pregnancy Retreat will include
Restorative Prenatal Yoga
Our Mini Pregnancy Retreat will include a restorative prenatal yoga session. Suitable for all levels and designed specifically for pregnancy. Using bolsters, blankets and other supportive props, you’ll be guided through gentle movements, calming breathwork and deep relaxation to help ease pregnancy discomforts, release tension and promote restful wellbeing.
This is an opportunity to slow down, nourish your body and enjoy mindful movement that supports both you and your growing baby.
Rebozo Wrapping
Experience the nurturing comfort of rebozo wrapping, a traditional practice that offers gentle support during pregnancy. The soft woven shawl creates a feeling of security, helping many expectant mothers feel grounded, relaxed and deeply held. It’s a beautiful addition to your prenatal self-care and an opportunity to simply receive care during pregnancy.
Somatic Birth Preparation and Mindful Motherhood
During this session, we’ll explore the gentle somatic techniques that help you connect with your body, regulate your nervous system and build confidence for pregnancy, birth and the early postpartum period. We’ll also share mindful practices that support the emotional transition into motherhood, helping you approach birth with greater calm, trust and self awareness.
Creative Pregnancy Journaling
Pregnancy is filled with moments you’ll never experience in quite the same way again. Through guided creative journaling prompts, you’ll have time to reflect on your pregnancy, connect with your baby and capture your thoughts, hopes and intentions for birth and motherhood. No artistic or writing experience is needed-just an open mind and a willingness to slow down.
Tea and Cake
You’ll be invited to enjoy tea and homemade cake, lovingly supplied by Shiva Cafe. It’s the perfect addition to any pregnancy retreat-sharing conversation with other expectant mums, making new connections or simply enjoying a peaceful moment with a warm drink and something delicious.
Expert Prenatal Support
Both our pregnancy classes and pregnancy mini retreats are lovingly facilitated by an experienced birth doula, prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher and hypnobirthing instructor.
With years of experience supporting women through pregnancy, birth and early motherhood, you’ll be guided with warmth, compassion and knowledge. Every part of the retreat has been thoughtfully designed to help you feel empowered, supported and deeply nurtured throughout your pregnancy.
