Pole Fitness Newquay
Have you been thinking about trying something new — building real strength, gaining confidence, and actually enjoying your workouts? Our pole fitness classes in Newquay are the perfect place to start.
Based at Shiva Studio in Nansledan, we run beginner and intermediate classes throughout the week in a space that’s welcoming, judgment-free, and genuinely fun. Whether you’ve never touched a pole in your life or you’re looking to progress your skills, there’s a class here for you.
What Is Pole Fitness?
Pole fitness is a full-body workout combining strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, and confidence. It’s one of the most effective and enjoyable ways to transform your fitness — and one of the most misunderstood.
You don’t need dance experience, a gymnastics background, or impressive upper body strength to begin. Everyone starts from zero, and our classes are structured to help you build from the ground up at your own pace.
Regular pole fitness can help you develop:
- Strength and muscle tone
- Flexibility and mobility
- Core stability
- Coordination and balance
- Confidence and body positivity
- Overall fitness and wellbeing

What’s the Difference Between Beginner and Intermediate?
Beginner classes are for anyone who has never tried pole fitness before, is returning after a break, or simply wants to build confidence from scratch. Sessions focus on basic spins and transitions, foundational grip and technique, introductory climbs and poses, and strength and conditioning work. No experience needed — just show up.
Intermediate classes are for students who are comfortable with beginner techniques and ready to push further. Expect more advanced spins and combinations, inversions and extended holds, flow sequences and transitions, and an increased focus on strength, flexibility, and refining technique.
Not sure which level is right for you? Get in touch and we’ll point you in the right direction.
What Should I Wear?
Wear clothing that lets you move freely and grip the pole safely:
- Shorts (skin contact with the pole is important for grip)
- A sports bra, vest top, or fitted gym top
- Bare feet or socks for the warm-up
- A bottle of water
One important note: avoid applying body moisturiser or oils in the 24 hours before class — they make the pole slippery and can affect your grip and safety.
A Community That Celebrates Every Win
Starting something new can feel daunting. Our Newquay pole fitness classes are built around the understanding that everyone begins somewhere — and that every milestone, from your first spin to your first inversion, deserves to be celebrated.
Our students cheer each other on, support each other’s progress, and build genuine connections alongside their fitness. That sense of community is one of the things people mention most when they talk about why they keep coming back.
Ready to Give It a Go?
Our beginner classes are open to absolutely everyone — no experience, no special fitness level, no particular look required. Just turn up, have fun, and see what you’re capable of.
We’re at Shiva Studio, Nansledan, Newquay — and we’d love to see you there.
