About Our Curriculum:
Getting your 200-hour Ashtanga Yoga certification is like laying down the groundwork to become an awesome Vinyasa Flow teacher. We believe Ashtanga Yoga is the building blocks of Vinyasa Flow so this will be the foundation of our practice.
Now, we won’t sugarcoat it – this course will push you physically, and we’ll dive deep into Western anatomy. But it’s not just about the poses or the physical body. We’re all about being true yogis in the real world we live in so there’s plenty of philosophy discussions throughout the course; we believe it’s like a big puzzle – the physical stuff helps with the spiritual side, and the spiritual stuff makes your physical practice better.

Chloe Blick, Course Lead: Ashtanga teacher, Vinyasa Flow teacher, anatomy & physiology lecturer, teaching methodology and workshop teacher
My journey into movement, teaching, and embodied practice began long before I ever stepped into a yoga studio. I’ve always been fascinated by the body — how it moves, how it holds experience, and how awareness can transform the way we inhabit ourselves. This curiosity led me first into the study of Classical Pilates in Wellington, New Zealand, where in 2012 I completed my Teacher Training, alongside Advanced Anatomy and Philosophy studies that laid the foundation for everything that would follow.
Yoga came soon after — not just as a practice, but as a way of life. In 2014, I travelled to Goa, India, to complete my 200-hour Vinyasa & Ashtanga Teacher Training at Kranti Yoga, immersing myself fully in the discipline, rhythm, and philosophy of traditional practice. The following year, I deepened my studies with a 300-hour training at Shiva Yoga Peeth in Rishikesh, where I found a deep respect for the lineage and its transformative teachings.
From there, teaching became a natural evolution. In 2016, I began assisting on 200-hour trainings with Julia Gavin and The Yoga Academy in Nicaragua, while also leading retreats that wove together movement, stillness, and self-inquiry. My connection with Kranti Yoga continued to grow, and by 2017 I stepped into the role of Lead Teacher for 200-hour YTTC, later assisting and leading 300-hour advanced programs between 2018–2019. Guiding new teachers became one of the most fulfilling aspects of my path — witnessing the way yoga reshapes not only the body, but perspective, purpose, and presence.
Throughout this time, I sought to ground my teaching in anatomy, touch, and therapeutic understanding. I trained extensively across a range of bodywork modalities including Holistic Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Myofascial Release, Fascial Taping, Dry Needling, and Advanced Hands-on Adjustments. These studies gave me a multidimensional understanding of the body — as both a physical structure and a vessel for emotional and energetic expression.
My commitment to anatomy and education eventually led me into academia. From 2019 to 2021, I taught as a Lecturer in Anatomy & Physiology and Sports Massage Therapy at Truro College (UK), sharing scientific insight with future therapists while continuing to teach yoga and teacher trainings internationally.
Alongside my yoga qualifications — including 50-hour Yin Yoga (Carling Harps, London 2017), 35-hour Inversion Training (Patrick Beach, London 2019), and 50-hour Rocket Yoga (Carlson Calhoun) — these experiences continue to shape my teaching style: a blend of structure and creativity, strength and softness, anatomical intelligence and intuitive awareness.
In 2020, I founded Shiva Studio — a space dedicated to authentic yoga education, somatic exploration, and holistic wellbeing. The studio represents a culmination of years of study and teaching — a space where yoga, movement, and bodywork meet in service of genuine transformation.
Today, my approach integrates traditional yoga philosophy, modern movement science, and the art of conscious touch. Whether teaching public classes, mentoring trainees, or leading advanced programs, my focus remains the same: to empower others to move, feel, and teach with depth, awareness, and compassion.

Spent 300 hours over 2 months in 2014 at Kranti yoga in Patnem, goa. The initial 200 hours was the beginning of my journey through a Practice of ashtanga vinyasa asana, pranayama, mediation and mantra.
The second 100 hours was spent in a manner of my choice that I wished to dive deeper into. I spent the majority of this 100 hours diving deeper into to meditation and pranayama and further mantra practices and teachings. In particular around the teachings of the Mandukya Upanishad which guides on OM meditation.
Following these 2 months I spent 4 further months travelling through India or acting with a variety of teachers all over India.
I completed 100 hours worth of Yin yoga teaching with sarah lo, one of sarah powers main teachers in the UK. Teaching from the insight yin yoga method bringing teachings of fascia, meridians, pranayama and mindful meditation. Sarah powers is one of the 2 main teachers of Paul Grilley, the founder of yin yoga.
I then completed a 35 hour advanced training in handstand/inversion/arm balances.
Following this I began to explore more movement modalities and practices in particular into helping those with pain and movement restrictions. Studying with the likes of Gary ward and his anatomy in motion model, multiple times as well as with running and movement coach helen hall.
To further my knowledge gained from nearly 2 decades as a practicing coronary care and emergency medicine nurse I studied with Patrick McKeown and his oxygen advantage breathwork education becoming an advanced instructor as well as Brian Mckenzie and his art of breath training.
These breathwork trainings along with my knowledge from nursing have helped me build an understanding and practice of pranayama that incorporates both eastern teachings with western science to allow for a deeper, safer pranayama practice
