Newquay's Calisthenics, Yoga, Pilates, & Health Café Experience
Shiva is a health-inspired café, with a Calisthenics, Yoga & Pilates studio run by Chloe & Jimmy which was inspired by their love of travel, obsession with good coffee, fresh food and passion for moving, stretching & surfing. After years of living & working in India, the dream of creating a similar vibe in Newquay became a reality in 2020.
The Café
Shiva serves an all-day brunch menu, a special salad of the day and gorgeous pastries from Da Bara. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options are also readily available so there is something for everyone. To complement their brunch menu they also serve an eclectic drinks menu from freshly made smoothies to chai lattes and everything in between. For anyone with a green thumb, the used coffee grounds are available outside every day to take back and nourish your compost. A stocked bar of spirits and other alcoholic beverages is also available for those wishing to indulge.
Nestled in the heart of Nansledan, Shiva is not only a cafe but a Calisthenics, Yoga & Pilates studio, offering Yoga Teacher training, workshops and a treatment space, meaning you can nourish your body, mind and soul. Chlo
Chlo is our studio owner has been the lead trainer for one of India’s most popular yoga schools in Goa, for the last several years. Her classes are dynamic, playful and explore the true fundamentals of the practice. Chloe believes we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously in class and that it doesn’t matter how old you are, there’s no excuse to not give a headstand a go!
As a college lecturer & practitioner of sports massage combined with her knowledge of anatomy & physiology, her passion for functional movement and fun transitions is evident in her flows.
Wibbs Coulson
Wibbs is a dedicated movement and yoga teacher who reminds others of their body’s innate ability to move and breathe with ease. Through a unique blend of natural movement, movement therapy, breathwork, and yoga, Wibbs guides students toward greater awareness, balance, and connection. His classes invite exploration, curiosity, and self-trust — helping each person rediscover the strength, fluidity, and calm that already exists within


Kirsty Salter
Kirsty is a certified Pregnancy and Mum & Baby Yoga Teacher passionate about supporting women through every stage of motherhood. Her nurturing classes guide expectant and new mothers to connect with their bodies and babies through mindful movement, breathwork, and relaxation. With a focus on strength, confidence, and emotional wellbeing, she creates a calm and supportive space for women to prepare for birth, recover postnatally, and embrace the beautiful journey of motherhood.
Jack Burlison
Grounded Movement is Jack’s training method, designed to guide individuals from complete beginners to advanced athletic skill levels. Combining Calisthenics, Hand Balance, Surfing, Running, and MMA, Jack draws on four years of Sports study in Australia to create a powerful, holistic approach to movement


Mara Blackburn
Mara Blackburn is a holistic wellness coach with 25 years of experience in multiple therapies. As well as being a yoga and somatics teacher, she is a wellbeing retreat leader, hypnotherapy practitioner, sound healer and massage therapist, and an expert in deep relaxation and guided meditation techniques.
She holds qualifications in hypnotherapy, hypnobirthing and NLP, sound healing, yoga and Ayurvedic massage therapy, as well as qualifications and experience teaching fitness, surfing and dance. After extensively studying Ayurvedic diet and nutrition therapies, Mara also applies these principles to many aspects of her work.
Mara teaches Somayoga; a fusion of yogic asanas and movement therapy sequences. Learn how to dissolve muscular pain with movement, meditation and deep relaxation. Somatics is not a different style of yoga but rather a movement therapy, a way of re-educating the way our brain senses and moves the muscles. Benefits include: improved posture, stress reduction increased energy levels & mental clarity to promote a good night’s sleep.
Rob Harrison
Rob is a Movement and Calisthenics Coach with over a decade of experience in the fitness industry. Specialising in natural, functional movement, he has developed a deep passion for primal movement—an approach that played a key role in his own rehabilitation from multiple serious injuries. Through this practice, Rob achieved greater mobility, enhanced functional strength, and improved overall physical freedom. Today, he shares this knowledge and passion by coaching Primal Movement and Calisthenics at Shiva, helping others reconnect with their bodies and unlock their natural potential.


Laura Julibert
Laura is a dedicated Pilates instructor with a passion for helping others build strength, flexibility, and body awareness. With a focus on mindful movement and proper alignment, she creates supportive, energizing classes that empower her students to move with confidence both on and off the mat. Laura’s teaching style blends precision, encouragement, and a deep understanding of how the body works, making her sessions accessible and inspiring for all levels.
Vicky Blake

Emma Campbell
Emma is passionate about bringing people together through yoga, creating a warm and supportive sense of community in her classes. With over 35 years of personal practice and 12 years of teaching experience, she brings depth, compassion, and a playful spirit to her instruction. Remembering what it feels like to be a beginner, Emma’s teaching style is expressive, clear, and encouraging. Her six-week beginners course at Shiva focuses on building strong foundations in technique and form, allowing students to develop a thorough understanding of postures in a nurturing and enjoyable environment. Students are encouraged to listen carefully, as Emma demonstrates physically, offers verbal guidance, and provides gentle hands-on adjustments when appropriate. Consistency is key, and with regular practice, students can expect steady improvement throughout the course.
Erica Stretch
Erica is a passionate kids’ yoga teacher who loves helping children discover the joy of movement, mindfulness, and self-expression. With her gentle guidance and playful energy, she creates a fun, safe space where every child can shine.
